The Upcoming Election

Just some quick thoughts. Most have probably been mentioned by someone at this point.

I think that it is vitally important to take into consideration the history, record, experience and character of an incumbent.
Barack Obama has some concerning relationships, ties, affiliations, or whatever one wants to call them. To attempt to persuade people that he had no idea that his pastor of 20 years held the ideas or beliefs that have been brought to the fore is insulting. How does ones relationship with his pastor of 20 years not affect someone at their core?
His acquaintance with a domestic terrorist is deeply concerning. There is so much that is deeply concerning, that to imagine that someone like him could be running this country is frightening.
I don't believe, for one minute, that he will support our second amendment rights. I believe that if he could, he would re write the Constitution.

John McCain has a long history of fighting for his country in. He has many years of experience in government.
I believe that he does support our second amendment rights and believes in the Constitution as it was intended and written.
He does not have, or at least it has not been brought to the fore, the types of concerning relationships that Obama has.

Whether you like them or not, one of them will be running our country. I trust what I know of John McCain much more than Barack Obama.
I also like Sarah Palin more than Joe Biden.

I believe that the safest, most experienced, most trustworthy person with the better record is John McCain.

Again, just some thoughts........

I'm a Republican from Cincinnati and came across your blog. You made some good comments there.

The "guilt by association" argument is a hard one to make since all politicians have that problem.

Obama was only 8 years old when Ayers did his despicable thing back in the 1960's. Hmmm.

McCain has some very questionable associations as well......Charles Keating and Robert Byrd. Byrd was a former member of the KKK, a domestic terrorist organization. How about that ?

Palin has some problems too. She and her husband have had ties to the Alaska Independence party, which advocates secession from the US.

Real patriotic and I have a real problem with those ties.

As for Pastor Wright, same problems for McCain and Palin. McCain has been associated with Bob Jones and Rev Hagee.

Palin's pastor has been known to make anti Semitic comments in his sermons.

Then there's Palin's statements and belief that Alaska is "The Promised Land" which is contrary to what the Bible says. According to the Bible, the Promised Land is Israel. I have a real problem with Palin's beliefs.

I think that is why McCain has not gone after Obama regarding Wright cuz he and Palin have some problems as well.
